I realize that this is just fabric and thread but I am pushing myself in new directions and it feels more like walking a tightrope. One slip, and well, let’s not go there.
I’ve had this piece on my design wall long enough. Time to move forward with something. The next layer of quilting is large, bold shapes in a medium blue thread. Talk about daring a new direction! But here I go. The plan is really a simple one. Dark thread for the sunflower, medium value blue for the shapes just added. . .
and ending with a very pale blue in smaller patterns for the remaining quilting. Another quick blocking here. So far, so good.
