Door as Inspiration

Inspiration is everywhere. When I traded a trellis for a used door last year, it fired up inspiration for finishing off a neglected side yard. The first thing was to install the door. Once installed I couldn’t wait to see some terracing done.

The 4 mini rock walls will ensure that the soil doesn’t move down the hill in the rain. Barb used some of my succulents and some of hers to begin plantings that will have the rock walls looking terrific in no time. I’ll continue to plant smaller succulents over the next few months. Meanwhile, I have already planted 3 new panels of succulents that should be ready to install this spring. I think they will be terrific hung one on top of each other on the side of the chimney.

I already have 3 panels of succulents hanging in the garden. You can see them here.
