Two of my art quilts have been accepted for this year’s Quilt & Fiber Arts Festival at La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum in La Conner, Washington. This is the first time I’ve entered my work for consideration. The museum attracts an international audience and I’m thrilled to have Nature’s Fractal and Forget Me Not, Collaboration with Grandma selected for exhibit.
I won’t be attending this exhibit so if you will be in the area, stop by and let me know what you thought. The exhibit takes place October 4 – 6 at La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum, 703 South 2nd Street, La Conner, WA. For addition information, click here.
Franki — these are both spectacular. The gold tones look luminescent — and the one that is a “collaboration with Grandma” — is elegant and evocative. Thanks for sharing and congratulations to the La Conner Festival for their excellent taste.

How lovely to hear from you. Thank you Linda!

Lucky you! I’d love to hear your impressions of the show. Do circle back on that.
I’m so happy for you! Congratulations!!
Franki – Congratulations on your quilts getting into the show. I am going up to Seattle in August, but not October. Bummer, I would have liked to see the show your quilts are in. I am planning on going up to the museum while I am there in August. I wanted to see it, because they have just gone through a major renovation of the facility. – Denise
Super! I’d love to hear about the improvements.
Two!!! Wow!!! congratulations Franki!!! Having seen some of your work at Asilomar this past year it is no surprise that La Conner just had to have you in their exhibit!! Your pieces are stunning! My favorite is the “Collaboration” one!
Thank you! I do, indeed, feel honored to have both entries accepted! As you might guess, Forget Me Not is quite close to my heart. The panel of embroidered forget me nots were done by my grandmother. I learned hand work from her.
Wonderful for you and the museum. Congratulations.
Thanks Gurli!
