Sunflower
I grew sunflowers in my Oakland garden for over 30 years. They are such a cheerful flower. Not only were they grand to have at hand for filling a vase, the giant varieties supplied sunflower seeds for feeding the birds year round. My floral artwork in this collection of quilt art is heavily free-motion stitched.
