And here it is!
Top portion.
It measures 54 1/2″ x 20″ and will eventually rest in my entry way. But first it will hang in my solo show beginning Monday, October 1st and running through October 31. If you are in the area, I hope you’ll stop by to see it and all the other new work on view. For complete details, see the side panel or click here. I look forward to seeing you!
It turned out lovely!
Thank you!
It is so beautiful. What a great way to use old embroidery.
Thank you Gurli. I think Grandma would approve.
What a wonderful way to save memories. Beautiful
I’m very happy with this piece. I’ll have to dig into my stash and see if I have anything else I can collaborate on!
How nice.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting. It’s always nice to get feedback.
I know Grandma would be surprised and delighted to see her work in such a modern setting. Don’t you wonder what she had intended for this piece? You did her proud!
I sure do wonder. She used very different materials from what I was accustomed to seeing her use. Perhaps this was just a bit of a lark for her.
Stunning!!
