These small boxes were folded from last year’s holiday cards. They measure 1 3/4″ square x 3/4″ deep. Each contains one piece of chocolate candy. They will be favors for our holiday table. Click on image for a larger view.
I’m wishing everyone small wonders and a sweet new year.

What a great idea Franki .My favours this year were felt Christmas figures/tea light covers.
Sweet Maureen. I’m sure they are charming on your table.
I love making those boxes too…even better holding chocolate! Merry Christmas and a sweet 2015 to you, Dave, and the furry boys.
Thank you Sherry!
Simply delightful! What a great idea! 🙂
And they are so fun to make and give. I always get a kick out of the reactions they receive.
What a fabulous idea! We used to get tons of cards, now we get just 8 or so. Sigh, so goes the ways of the past!
The lovely thing about these tiny boxes is that you can make them from any paper. Design your own, use birthday cards (you must get a lot), the possibilities are really endless. I used some nice-weight white cardstock and used sealing wax and one of my stamps to create a personal design.
Little surprises are always so welcome. I have repurposed many cards over the years. Maybe I will pull out the instructions for these boxes for the latest selection of cards we got this year. Happy New Year!
