I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to celebrate peace on earth. Now.
In the spirit of thinking globally and acting locally, we have freshened our home to welcome the season. New pillowcases always make a difference. I found some delightful fabrics that perfectly melded with my Christmas quilt which we’ve enjoyed since 1999. Just lucky! And this simple stitching job took no time at all. It was very satisfying to be in my studio.
We put up the first tree since we moved to Portland. The decorations are at least as old as my quilt and I still think they are just right.
Cooper’s groomer supplied a new bow tie. I hope you have carved out some quiet time to reflect and be ready for your celebrations. Peace.

Just. Lovely. And Mendelssohn (if I remember correctly?) is blessing the space.
Franki Kohler says
Yes, that’s our sweet Mendelssohn. Our first 4-legged best friend.

Thank you, yes, I am ready for some peace for everyone. Thanks for sharing your latest project. Your tree is beautiful. I remember your saying you would be using your Moravian stars in Oakland.
Franki Kohler says
Thanks, Christy. Yes, we’ve used the Moravian stars for many years. Along with their beauty they are also very light weight so they hang nicely and they store easily.

Franki, you always have such a way with words that make me Miss you so much and look at all the positive in life. Peace on earth would be lovely, wouldn’t it? Have a very merry Christmas! Much love and respect, Barb
Franki Kohler says
Aww, Barb, thanks so much. I MISS you as well. We are looking forward to seeing you in the new year! Merry Christmas!
