I was in Ashland, OR, recently enjoying some of the plays and the great food and I took a quiet moment for myself to do a bit of sketching and watercolor painting.
This is one of three ceramic chickens that Pat uses on her dining table. This one was medium-sized and the most colorful of the trio.
I’m rather fond of chickens but I have nothing like this one in my collection. Search ‘chicken’ on my blog and you’ll see a few of mine.

Franki, I so enjoy your musings — and we almost crossed paths in Ashland! Ken and I were there with friends to see several plays. Can’t remember if I sent you the list of readings/signings events I’m doing in the bay area — three in the east bay, so am attaching here. Ken will be coming to the one on October 17 with me in Lafayette!

Hope you got to Fabric of Vision while you were there! They have some great fabrics. Hoping to get to LaConner Thursday the 31st to see the exhibit. Will send you pics of your quilts.

I’ve been to Fabric of Vision on earlier trips but didn’t quite make it this time. I’ll be sure to stop in next year. I look forward to the photos at La Conner! Thanks so much.

Oh Franki – I miss Ashland, AND Shakespeare. I started going in 1970 for 18 years, seeing 10 plays in a week. Now, last year, it was 4 plays in 3 days – but not this year.. Email me what you saw and your take on them…Also, let’s see if perhaps we can MEET there some day….maybe……perhaps….let’s see…etc.
