This is the second of a series of 12″-square art quilts begun with a small scrap of printed cotton fabric. This one included a challenge of using three colors of blue thread and several sizes and patterns of free-motion quilting lines.
Here are some details
You can see where this idea began here. Earlier postings on this particular piece are here and here.
I’ve cut out my scrap for Sunflower III. New challenges are ahead.
How have you challenged yourself lately?
Looks like a great series to me!!! Really like what you are doing………and how many other flowers are there in California???? Gives a wonderful opportunity to use free motion quilting designs.
Thank you. I’m having fun pushing myself here. New challenges will apply to the next one. Stay tuned and thank you for commenting.
Great and so interesting. You have such good control of your machine. I have not gained that yet and it may be too late . HA! 🙂 Sharon
It’s never too late Sharon. Notice that I’m stepping out with this kind of quilting in a very small format. I need to gain some confidence before I do this with a larger project.
Thanks for sharing another job well done!!!!
You are so welcome. And thanks for commenting.
Just perfect!
