I am pleased to share that my art quilt Sunflower Scrap I has been accepted for Moving pARTS, an exhibit being held at New Zone Art Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.
The concept of the show is: Each day we navigate a world interacting with things that have parts that move. As a biological organism, our very bodies have limbs, organs, and cells that function together to carry out various tasks. The mechanized world has gears, pulleys, levers, and wheels that work with other simple machines to form complex machines with many moving parts. We invite artists to create a piece of art that incorporates and highlights moving parts. Artwork submitted can feature an interactive component(s) OR the moving parts can be implied.
